Despite whether they are physically or cognitively challenged, older adults can enjoy the holidays. It’s all about spending time with each other, feeling involved, and having fun. Here are some fun Holiday activities for you and your Family! Don’t be concerned; your loved one will be OK with these activities. We hope you enjoy the tips!

01. Find a Trail to Walk with your Family or Engage in Mindfulness.
Unless you’re stuck indoors this holiday season, you can still have a good time by organizing a day for you and your Family to walk on a trail or engage in yoga or mindfulness. This can be done with the entire Family, including your older loved one or caretakers at home.
02. Cook or Prepare Food Together with your Family.
Cooking together strengthens ties and contributes to the creation of lifetime memories. You may also use this time to listen, discuss, and converse with your caregiver or Family.
03. Do Arts and Crafts Together.
Getting the whole family engaged in DIY projects can give everyone more confidence and skills to utilize. Working on these projects together may also be a terrific bonding experience. Some ideas can include building a birdhouse together or building a water fountain for the front or back yard.
04. Play Fun Holiday Activities.
The best part of the holiday season is getting together with Family and friends and creating lasting memories. However, beyond the unending arrays of food and Christmas sweets and the unwrapping of those prized Christmas presents, that holiday gathering often needs a little structure to keep the crew interested in the party and off their gadgets the entire time. Some holiday activities include listening to the family’s favorite tunes or having a movie night and cuddle time!
